It
used to be the old Cerretto parish and is located in the heart of the
oldest part of the village, dominating the view thanks to its characteristic
stone tower which was built around the 13th century. Subsequently, the
building underwent renovations in different periods and one of them took
place in 1585, as the epigraph inscribed on the entrance door reads: "LAUS
DEO MDLXXXV". Inside, a fresco from the 15th. Century, which represents
the scene of the appearance of Christ on the Cross to Pope Saint Gregory
during the celebration of the Mass, attracts the interest of the visitors.
The vault fascinates the viewer for the picturesque eighteenth century
decorations representing "Sant'Andrea's glory", besides a big painting
on canvas from the same period portraying the Madonna, Saint
Andrew and Saint Anthony of Padua.
